Before applying
How much does it cost?
Placement starts at $6,000, all in. That covers outreach to investors, who schedule directly on the sponsor's calendar, confirmation of every meeting, and the software sponsors use to manage every relationship. There's no setup fee, no percentage of the raise, and no long-term contract.
The first placement is for building investor demand for the offering and opens the sponsor's first relationships with investors, the proof of concept the raise grows from. Sponsors develop those relationships over time and scale the placement when they're ready to grow.
When do meetings start?
Campaigns launch within a week of approval, and meetings start within the week after launch. The placement starts when the campaign goes live, not at payment, so there's no setup fee.
We need timely access to the offering materials. If the legal docs are still with the sponsor's attorney, we build in parallel and launch as soon as they're final.
Will this work for me?
Sponsors on Altinvest raise across a wide range of offerings, from real estate and private credit to energy and venture capital.
Our application criteria are designed to give an offering the best odds. We look for sponsors raising $2 million to $10 million or more, with an offering that can be publicly solicited and is live or launching within 30 days, deals taken full cycle, capacity to meet investors writing checks from $50K to $1M+, and a deck ready to share. If that's your raise, apply below.
How is this different from an agency or placement agent?
Altinvest is a platform sponsors are admitted to, not a vendor they hire. We review every offering, and only approved ones go in front of investors.
Sponsors pay a flat fee, not a percentage or a six-month retainer. Campaigns launch within a week, not after weeks of onboarding. We drive investor demand for the offering, and every investor relationship that starts here is the sponsor's to keep. Sponsors get qualified meetings on their calendar, not a lead list. And we run the entire infrastructure, so there are no tools to stitch together and no ad spend to manage.
We're not a broker-dealer, and we don't handle investor funds.
What if I already work with an agency or placement agent?
We don't require exclusivity, and we work alongside agencies and placement agents all the time. For many sponsors, Altinvest becomes their main source of investors.
Who's behind Altinvest?
Altinvest is built by the team at Raise Ready Systems, with six years marketing private placement offerings. We consolidated our entire approach into one platform, built to be the simplest, fastest way to reach new accredited investors.
Once the offering is approved
How does it work?
Once an offering is approved, we build its offering page from the sponsor's deck and materials. Investors review it before they take a meeting, and every piece of campaign content comes from it. The campaign launches within a week.
Once live, it runs in four steps. We match the offering with investors actively looking for deals with a similar profile. Those who are interested schedule directly on the sponsor's calendar. We call every investor to confirm the meeting and prepare them, and send them the offering materials so they arrive with questions. Then comes the meeting itself. Before each one, the sponsor receives the investor's contact details, their answers to the qualifying questions, anything they want to discuss and a one-click background search.
How many meetings will I get?
It depends on the offering. How investors respond to a specific offering can't be known until it's live, so the first placement is for building investor demand for it. That becomes the proof of concept the raise grows from.
From there, we work back from the total raise, the pace and the sponsor's capacity. At our 90-day average check of $225,000, $3 million in equity is about 13 investors. Thirteen investors in six weeks is a different placement from 13 in six months. And a sponsor taking every meeting personally can handle fewer each week than one with a full investor relations team. Using the first placement's numbers, we scale a placement to fit.
Results depend on the offering, market conditions and the sponsor.
What if it doesn't work?
Every campaign runs in the same system, which holds everything constant except the offering and how it's presented. We test messaging angles, from income and tax benefits to downside protection and track record, and refine who each one reaches while the campaign runs. For one recent sponsor, investors responded to the tax benefit far more than the return, and that shaped the messaging from then on.
The campaign data shows which angles investors respond to. The sponsor's meeting data shows how the offering lands. Together they show what's working and what would make the presentation stronger. That's why placement launches within a week and carries no long-term contract. Sponsors hear from the market quickly, and we scale once the numbers make sense.
How much of my time will it take?
Before launch, very little. We need timely access to the offering materials, and we build the campaign from there.
After launch, the sponsor's time goes to the meetings and the relationships that come out of them, whether the principal takes those or their investor relations team. The placement is sized to the team's capacity, so the sponsor decides how much time that is. The rest is handled. Every relationship lives in the Altinvest software, which writes up each meeting, drafts follow-ups and tracks what's needed to move it forward. The one requirement is a current calendar, so investors can book times the sponsor is available.
Who are the investors?
High-net-worth individuals actively looking at alternative investments, reached through campaigns and a strategy refined over six years. Before a meeting is scheduled, every investor confirms they are accredited, that they can invest at or above the sponsor's minimum, and when they plan to commit capital, so the sponsor's time goes to people who can take part in the offering. Verifying accreditation remains the issuer's responsibility.
Over the last 90 days, the average check has been $225,000, in a typical range of $50,000 to $1M+.
What's the conversion rate?
Meeting-to-investor conversion has been as high as 30% and as low as zero. The more useful number is cost of capital, meaning what a sponsor spends on placement for each dollar raised.
That depends on how the sponsor converts and the size of each check, which typically lands between $50,000 and $1M+, with a 90-day average of $225,000. The first placement gives the sponsor a starting point, and every placement after it is measured against that.
Do investors come back?
They can. Investors who back one offering can back the sponsor's next, or the same fund again, and a first check can become a larger one once the investor knows the sponsor. Investors also bring family, friends and partners, with no placement fee behind them.
Is there a contract?
There is no long-term contract. Each placement is built to get results in a compressed period, and a sponsor can stop at the end of any placement. Sponsors continue because the numbers make sense.
When a sponsor stops, their investor list goes with them. Every relationship built on the platform stays with the sponsor, including for future offerings.
The results shown on this page and all of our marketing materials are from past campaigns and are specific to those offerings. They are not a guarantee or a prediction of how any future campaign will perform. Results depend on the offering, market conditions, as well as the sponsor.
